Terms and Conditions of Service

Last Updated: July 11, 2026

Welcome to SmallTruckload.com (the “Platform”), a digital freight platform owned and operated by Getcarrier LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our Platform, booking shipments, or requesting quotes, you (“User”, “Shipper”, or “Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Operating Authority & Relationship

SmallTruckload is a digital broker platform operating under the FMCSA property broker license and regulatory authority held by Getcarrier LLC. We are not an asset-based motor carrier. We do not personally transport freight. Our service is strictly limited to arranging for the transportation of shipments by connecting verified independent licensed motor carriers (“Carriers”) with Shippers.

2. Quote Accuracy & Booking Conditions

  • Locked Rates: Rates generated via our dynamic booking engine are real-time market calculations based on user-input parameters (dimensions, weight, origins, and destinations).
  • Accessorial Fees: Quotes are calculated based on standard business-to-business shipping conditions (e.g., dock-to-dock). Additional accessorial charges (including but not limited to liftgate requirements, residential delivery, inside pickup, sort and segregate, or driver detention time) not declared at checkout will be billed retroactively to the Shipper’s account balance.
  • Form Validation: Shippers are entirely responsible for providing accurate dimensions, weights, and cargo descriptions. Omitting structural or hazardous characteristics may result in order cancellation or carrier reassessment.

3. Payment, Billing, & Credit

  • Payment Authorization: By clicking “Book”, you authorize Getcarrier LLC to charge your provided credit card, ACH account, or pre-authorized corporate credit line for the full stated rate.
  • Net Terms: Corporate accounts approved for line-of-credit billing are subject to standard Net 30 payment deadlines from the date of invoice generation. Overdue balances are subject to a 1.5% monthly late fee assessment.

4. Cargo Liability & Claims

  • Carrier Responsibility: The independent Carrier assigned to the shipment is solely responsible for the physical safety, transport, and delivery of the cargo. All cargo loss, damage, or delay claims must be filed directly against the Carrier’s primary cargo insurance policy.
  • Insurance Valuation: Standard carrier liability thresholds apply based on commodities unless additional declared value insurance is explicitly purchased and paid for at the time of order confirmation.

5. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with federal transportation laws and the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
